Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), a prominent figure within the Democratic Party’s progressive faction, has put forth the idea that Americans should be prepared to welcome Palestinians into their local communities.
During a recent interview on CNN, Ocasio-Cortez was posed with a question regarding the potential opening of borders in Arab countries within the Middle East to Palestinians, as opposed to the United States.
In her response, Ocasio-Cortez expressed her willingness to support Arab countries in accepting Palestinians. However, she also emphasized the importance of Americans being open to the resettlement of refugees.
