RINO Complains About Republicans While Announcing He’s Not Running for Reelection

Representative Ken Buck announced that he won’t be running for re-election in 2024, citing what he called “insidious narratives” about the 2020 election being stolen, and also criticized Republicans for correctly identifying that the Justice Department has been weaponized by our enemies.

“To my friends in Colorado, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve our nation, and to serve you,” Buck said in a statement. “I look forward to seeing you at the grocery store and the high school football game. Being your representative in Washington, DC, has been the greatest professional thrill, and highest honor, of my life.”

On MSNBC he elaborated on why exactly he was stepping down, telling them “I’m also disappointed that the Republican Party continues to, you know, rely on this lie that the 2020 election was stolen and rely on the Jan. 6 narrative and the political prisoners from Jan. 6 and other things.”

While Buck did vote against impeaching President Donald Trump after January 6, he cited Pelosi only giving members two hours of debate to discuss the impeachment article as his reason, while condemning Trump’s rhetoric, and describing the January 6 protesters as “un-American.” Naturally, Trump is thrilled with the news, writing on his Truth Social platform “Good news for the Country! Congressman Ken Buck of Colorado, a weak and ineffective Super RINO if there ever was one, announced today that he won’t be running again, which is a great thing for the Republican Party.”

Just as recently as September, Buck said that he was planning on running for reelection, a month he also blasted Republicans for wanting to impeach Biden, accusing them of “relying on an imagined history
